Wallingford connector, sensor and antennae manufacturer Amphenol Corp. said its third-quarter profits jumped 13 percent on record sales of $1.36 billion.
Net income for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $182.2 million, or 57 cents per diluted share, up from $160.8 million, or 50 cents, in the year-ago quarter.
Sales were up from $1.15 billion last year.
Operating income from Amphenol’s interconnect products segment grew 20 percent, to $279.8 million.
The company expects fourth-quarter sales between $1.34 billion and $1.38 billion. For the year, it expects sales between $5.26 billion and $5.3 billion and earnings per share excluding one-time items of $2.20 to $2.22.
