Amphenol closes on more acquisitions

Wallingford’s Amphenol Corp. has completed the acquisition of two businesses from network infrastructure provider CommScope, and has also closed on the purchase of Lifesync Corp.

Amphenol designs and manufactures electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, antennas, sensors and coaxial and high-speed specialty cable.

CommScope, based in North Carolina, sold its outdoor wireless networks and distributed antenna systems segments to Amphenol for an undisclosed sum.

The sale brings with it nearly 4,000 employees, and Amphenol says it expects OWN and DAS to generate full-year 2025 sales of $1.3 billion.

“The acquisition of the OWN and DAS businesses brings to Amphenol a strong portfolio of innovative and advanced technologies for communications networks,” said Amphenol President and Chief Executive Officer, R. Adam Norwitt, in a statement.

Amphenol will fold the businesses into its communications solutions segment.

The company also announced the closing of the acquisition of Lifesync Corp., a provider of interconnecting products for medical devices. Amphenol said that Lifesync generates annual sales of approximately $100 million.

Amphenol recently reported fourth quarter sales of $4.3 billion, up 20% organically compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, and full-year sales of $15.2 billion, up 13%.
