The office is located at 998 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford Center.
Based in Miami, Americasa provides home finance education, mortgage financing and community support for Hispanic families.
The company noted that, according to the U.S. Census, 44.5% of the population in and around Hartford is of either Hispanic or Latino descent.
The office will be led by Branch Manager Wanda Cassarino, a mortgage banker who has served the Hartford area for more than 30 years. She previously served as director of the Hartford region for Neighborhood Assistance Corp. of America, a HUD-certified nonprofit counseling agency, for nearly 16 years.
A spokesperson for the company said the new office opened with just three staff members, but expects to add more staff.
Americasa now has branches in Florida and Connecticut and is opening new offices soon in Houston and in East Islip, Long Island.
