Alterra-Rocky Hill, the town’s first new apartments in nearly three decades, open doors Thursday morning.
State and local officials are slated to join Alterra’s Massachusetts landlord, Continental Properties, to cut ribbon at the 144-unit property at 11 Kensington Lane, near Exit 23, off I-91.
Rents for the one- and two-bedroom units run from $1,365 to $1,555. Fifteen units are equipped for residents with disabilities; 33 more are adaptable.
The last new apartments, Cedar Hollow on Pratt Street, were built in town in the mid-80s, town officials said.
