Swiss insurer Allied World Assurance Co., with Farmington operations, says it teamed with New Jersey insurance broker Capacity Marine Corp. to offer coverages on obscure marine operators such as stevedores and ship repairers.
Allied World U.S. and the Capacity Marine, of Mahwah, N.J., announced Tuesday their pact to provide a marine general liability program to insure risks which are not often covered by traditional property/casualty insurance policies and may not be covered by industry-specific marine policies.
Target risks may also include wharf owners and terminal operators, the companies said.
