How do I create connections in my professional life?
I host and emcee a lot of events, and try to be actively involved in groups and causes that matter most to me. I’ll also rarely pass up an opportunity to meet someone — whether it’s someone in PR or TV — for a coffee or lunch. Worst case scenario? You had to eat that meal anyway. Best case scenario? You make a new friend or a great business contact.
What’s been my biggest challenge professionally?
Figuring out exactly what path I want my career to take. I am so passionate about so many different things. I have always been the type of person who wants to have a hand in everything!
What is the best advice I received?
“Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.” Conan O’Brien said that to a graduating class at Dartmouth after he was fired from The Tonight Show.
What do I want my legacy to be?
That I worked hard, that I was kind, and that I did an amazing thing or two.
