The executive overseeing Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s international unit is retiring from the wildly successful Cheshire biopharma, effective Feb. 8, a regulatory filing shows.
Patrice Coissac, president of Alexion Pharma International, in Lausanne, Switzerland, joined parent Alexion Pharmaceuticals in November 2005 as senior vice president. He also was named at that time president of Alexion Europe SAS.
Coissac moved to his current international slot in April 2009, according to the parent’s latest 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
His responsibilities have been assumed by Frank Wright, who will be appointed Alexion Pharma International president, the filing said.
Wright joined Alexion as senior vice president in December.
