Following $105 million in contract announcements this year, Bloomfield’s Kaman Corp. said it’s tacked on another $8.6 million worth of orders for its joint programmable fuzes.
The additional orders are a modification a $70 million contract with the U.S. Air Force announced earlier this month. Delivery is expected in 2015.
The electro-mechanical munitions parts are used to program targeted bombs launched from military aircraft.
