The Phoenix Cos. Inc. signed a deal to sell the Hartford insurer’s Simplicity Index Life via a U.S. network of more than 7,000 independent insurance agents.
Financial terms of the pact with National Agents Alliance (NAA) weren’t disclosed.
Phoenix National Sales Manager Biff Baker says the insurer and NAA spent the past year revising the index life product as well as terms of their relationship.
The insurer says it also will add a limited number of distributors this year for its index life product.
