A Southington development company is seeking a special permit from the town Planning and Zoning Commission to build an age-restricted housing complex off Marion Avenue.
Mark Lovley, of Plantsville-based Lovley Development, is looking to build 27 free-standing homes on a new private road, Braemar Court.Â
The development is planned for three vacant parcels at 347, 349 Marion Ave., and a portion of 153 Pine St., all purchased by Lovley for $920,000 in January 2024, according to town records.
 Â
The Braemar Estates age-restricted housing complex would have three different home styles, each one story with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an attached garage.
Homes range in size from 1,400 to 1,600 square feet.
Lovley’s portfolio includes residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. It has a number of projects in the construction phase for single-family luxury homes and age-restricted houses in Southington, Cheshire, Plainville and Farmington, as well as the mixed-use Steele Center development in Berlin.Â
The Braemar Estates application will go before the commission at its next regular meeting Tuesday.
