AG sues bridal store over unfilled orders

A Connecticut bridal shop that shut down last fall is being sued by Attorney General Richard Blumenthal for allegedly failing to deliver 18 gowns.

Blumenthal says Classic Images of Danielson shut down abruptly leaving 18 brides-to-be with unfulfilled bridal gown orders. He says the lawsuit seeks refunds and other remedies.

In his announcement today, Blumenthal says the store had sold bridal dresses, bridal party dresses, groom attire, accessories, and cleaning and storage of wedding dresses for more than a decade.

He says Classic Images failed to fulfill orders starting more than a year before it closed. Blumenthal also alleges that the store continued to accept payments and orders days before closing.
