Aetna Inc. says it launched a Web site to educate the public on the health care reform law, while promoting the Hartford managed care provider’s vision for creating a “sustainable health care system.”
Aetna says it set up www.HealthReformConnection.com so the public can learn more about the law.]
“The health care reform law is complex, and Health Reform Connection allows us to explain the law in a way that is easily understood by broad audiences,” said Kay Mooney, head of Aetna’s health care reform implementation efforts. “Importantly, the website also looks to the future and provides unique insights into the issues and challenges that will shape our health care system for years to come.”
Among other things, Aetna says its site offers:
- Detailed descriptions of the provisions of the law, those effective both currently and in the future.
- A timeline outlining the implementation of the law.
- Answers to the most common questions on the law and its requirements.
- Aetna’s vision for creating a sustainable health care system that delivers access to affordable, quality health care for all Americans.
The website also includes videos on issues such as grandfathered plans and dependent coverage. Aetna’s Health Reform Weekly and Eye on Implementation newsletters are available through the site, featuring the latest news updates and overviews of regulatory changes.
