Health insurer Aetna Inc. said Thursday it renewed a contract with the University of Pennsylvania Health System, extending the deal by five more years, The Associated Press reports.
Financial terms of the extension, which went into effect July 15, were not disclosed.
Aetna will continue to cover medical care at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital, along with services provided by 1,500 primary care doctors and specialists in Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
Aetna has more than a million members in Pennsylvania.

Company shares rose 2 cents to $30.37 in afternoon trading.
