Aetna to help women with EAPs

Hartford-based health insurer Aetna Inc. says that women are far more interested than men in using the employee assistance programs it offers at many workplaces and it has launched a pilot program with several customers to better teach women how to use those benefits. The pilot, put together over the last two years, will show women how to better use EAP benefits to plan for different stages of their lives, such as child rearing and planning for retirement. Aetna did not say which companies would participate in the pilot.
