Hartford health insurer Aetna Inc. named veteran health care industry executive Krishnan Sridharan its vice president and head of Latin America sales, a new post.
Effective immediately, Sridharan will oversee London-based Aetna International’s expanding health benefits and management reach in the Central and Latin America region, Aetna said.
Sridharan most recently served as vice president of strategy and business development for Aetna International, leading several key international expansion initiatives such as the creation of a broker sales channel for expatriate medical coverage in India.
Prior to joining Aetna International, Sridharan held leadership positions at UnitedHealthcare and Connecticut-based Oxford Health Plans, among others.
