Hartford health insurer Aetna Inc has filed a lawsuit against Laboratory Corp of America, alleging unfair competition, breach of contract and other violations of law, Reuters reports.
Aetna is seeking unspecified monetary damages and equitable relief, the company that does genomic testing at its labs, including one in New Haven, said in a regulatory filing Thursday.
LabCorp, based in Burlington, N.C., said it believes that the allegations are without merit and it will vigorously defend the lawsuit.
No other details were immediately available.
