Aetna‘s Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Timothy A. Holt, plans to retire in the first quarter of 2008.
Holt, 54, has been chief investment officer since 1997. Jean LaTorre, currently Aetna’s vice president and head of fixed income investments, will take over as chief investment officer. LaTorre joined Aetna in 1991 as a bond trader and held a variety of positions before reaching CIO status.Â
Holt joined the Hartford-based health care company in 1977 as a securities analyst in the bond investment department and quickly moved up the ranks.
