Aetna promotes Kim Keck to $9B unit

Hartford health care provider Aetna Inc. said Wednesday 22-year company veteran Kim A. Keck is moving over from its investor relations and treasurer’s operations to manage its $9 billion-a-year middle markets business.

Keck, 46, has run investor relations and treasurer’s since 2009. She will remain in those posts until her successor is named, Aetna said.

Before that, Keck headed Aetna’s treasurer’s, controllers, actuarial, and tax organizations, leveraging her background and expertise in finance and business. She also oversaw Aetna’s planning and performance management and was head of capital management and rating agencies.

From 2005 to 2008, she was Chairman and CEO Ronald A. Williams’ chief of staff.
