Aetna has set compensation for its new President Karen S. Rohan, the Hartford health insurer disclosed Friday in a U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission filing.
Rohan, who starts her new position next month, will receive a base salary of $900,000 and an annual bonus opportunity of at least 120 percent of that figure, based on performance measures, according to the filing.
She will also participate in the company’s long-term incentive program, with a potential award of $5 million in her first year.
Rohan, who was formerly a senior vice president at Aetna, earned $3.4 million in total compensation last year.
