Aetna calendar highlights Latino role models

Aetna Inc. has released the third edition of its Latino Calendar for 2009-20110, which celebrates contemporary Latino role models who are helping to build stronger, healthy communities.

Released to coincide with National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15), the bilingual calendar features individuals who serve as strong role models to many, particularly younger Latinos, based on their professional accomplishments, and their ability to inspire others. Each individual featured has a health-related, fitness/wellness background.

Individuals featured in this year’s calendar include leaders in the fields of business; community involvement; academics; advocacy/grass-roots outreach; medicine; dietetics; nutrition; and athletics.

Proceeds from calendar sales will benefit DiversityInc Foundation, a charitable organization affiliated with DiversityInc, which provides scholarships for financially disadvantaged students.

The online version of the calendar is available at www.aetnahispaniccalendar.com.
