As the new school year kicks off, Hartford health insurer Aetna is adding a new vision plan for students.
The new Aetna Vision Preferred plan is being offered in 20 states and gives members the ability to save money on routine eye exams, contact lenses, eye glasses, eye glass accessories and LASIK eye surgery.
The plan’s network offers access to more than 52,000 vision offices and retailers. The majority of the network is made up of local private practice doctors of Optometry and Ophthalmology.
The network also offers access to five of the top six leading optical retailers including LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, SearsOptical, JCPenney Optical, and Target Optical.
