Private sector employers added 175,000 jobs between December and January, according to payroll processing firm ADP.
It was the lowest number of jobs added since August’s 151,000 jobs, according to ADP data. The numbers, however, were still in line with 2013’s monthly average of 183,000 jobs, and slightly higher than the federal government’s estimated average of 182,000 jobs.
The U.S. Department of Labor is slated to release its own January figures on Friday.
