With the Connecticut’s official May job report set for release next week, payroll services provider ADP offered a preview of meek growth in the state’s private sector.
ADP said Connecticut’s private sector added 190 jobs during the month. That was the lowest number of the 29 states it tracks. ADP said New England states added a total of 5,000 jobs.
ADP uses its own payroll data to produce its monthly jobs reports at the national, regional and state level. The U.S. Department of Labor uses surveys for its official report.
