Private employers in Connecticut added just 540 jobs in October, according to payroll processing firm and job tracker ADP.
That virtually flat growth rate mirrored that of New England for the month, which added 4,000 jobs, according to ADP. The firm uses payroll data to form its estimates.
The government’s official jobs report, which is based on survey data, comes out Friday.
