IT firm ADNET Technologies is launching a separate cybersecurity firm as the company moves all its operations to Rocky Hill.
MachBlue Defense, the new cybersecurity firm, will work out of ADNET’s new offices at 400 Capital Blvd. in Rocky Hill beginning July 1, ADNET co-CEO Christopher Luise said Friday morning. MachBlue  will cater to IT companies in addition to companies of all sizes and industries, he said.
Luise, who will lead MachBlue, said the giant Solarwinds cyber attack that affected major IT companies like Cisco and Intel shows the need for IT companies that advise on cybersecurity to firm up their own cybersecurity safeguards.Â
“They themselves carry operational risk,” Luise said. “Who’s watching the watchers? How is the review process of those trusted firms?”
MachBlue will also provide cybersecurity services to small to mid-sized businesses, and large clients in industries outside IT, Luise said.
The new company is currently hiring, Luise said.
