IT firm ADNET Technologies today officially opened its new Rocky Hill headquarters, which will also house a separate cybersecurity firm called MachBlue Defense.
The company completely gutted the first floor of the four-story building on 400 Capital Blvd. in Rocky Hill, and added new technology infrastructure to support things like “Zoom rooms” that allow in-office workers to easily work with employees working remotely, ADNET CEO Chris Luise said.
“We built out a collaboration space, so people have an opportunity to work from an office, work in an [in-person] team setting or remain remote,” Luise said. “We’re “making sure that our employees feel cared for and supported.”
About 50 employees are currently working either at the 7,000-square-foot headquarters or remotely, Luise said. He declined to disclose how much construction cost.
The new space also houses MachBlue Defense, a cyber security firm Luise said will cater to IT companies in addition to companies of all sizes and industries.Â
Luise, who will lead MachBlue, said in June that the giant Solarwinds cyber attack that affected major IT companies like Cisco and Intel shows the need for IT companies that advise on cybersecurity to firm up their own cybersecurity safeguards.
