A busy New York-based investor recently paid $4.72 million for a 50-unit apartment complex in New Britain.
In a sale recorded July 29, a limited liability company whose principal is New City, New York-based Yitzchok Kaufman bought a complex of two, brick buildings dating to 1966 on 2.46 acres at 429 Allen St.
The selling LLC’s principal is Abraham Indig, of Brooklyn, New York. The property last sold for $4.5 million in October 2021.
Limited liability companies linked to Kaufman have bought several multifamily properties in central Connecticut over the past two years, including:
- A $3.75 million purchase of a 1969-vintage, 60-unit apartment building at 28 Scovill St., Waterbury. Â
- A $1.4 million purchase of a 16-unit building at 1054 Bank St., Waterbury.
- A $2.9 million purchase of a 32-unit apartment complex at 1083 Bank St., Waterbury.
- A $2.9 million purchase of a 61-unit building at 71 Plaza Ave., Waterbury.
- A $2.55 million purchase of a 32-unit building at 711 East Main St., Torrington.
