Acquisition gobbles up seven warehouses

Seven Connecticut warehouse facilities have been purchased as part of a $516 million industrial portfolio acquisition that includes 24 other properties from Massachusetts to Texas. KBS Real Estate Investment Trust, Hackman Capital Partners and Calare Properties formed a joint venture to purchase the 11.4 million square foot industrial portfolio, including facilities in Enfield, Bloomfield and Plainfield. The portfolio was sold by Equity Industrial Partners Corp., based in Needham, Mass. Locally, the deal includes 449,000 square feet of warehouse space at 170 Highland Park Dr. in Bloomfield; 530,500 square feet of warehouse space at 85 Moosup Pond Rd. in Plainfield; and 1.2 million square feet over five warehouse facilities at 555 Taylor Rd. in Enfield.
