Access Health CT is waiving the minimum employee requirement for certain small businesses to enroll in new group health insurance plans, the organization said.
The state’s health insurance marketplace Access Health CT announced that, through its Employee Participation Waiver Period, it will waive the minimum number of employees typically required to enroll in a small group health insurance plan through Dec. 15. This means that any company with 50 employees or fewer can enroll in a group health insurance plan during that time.
Typically, companies need a certain percentage of their employees to participate in the plan. The program is only offered to new groups that aren’t currently enrolled through Access Health CT Small Business.
