Accenture seeks more U.S. cybersecurity work

Irish professional-services provider Accenture, which has Hartford offices, says its purchase of a Virginia cybersecurity provider positions Accenture to expand its cyber-defense services to the U.S. government.

Dublin-based Accenture said Friday it has completed its purchase of Alexandria, Va.-based Defense Point Security. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Accenture says DPS will serve as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture Federal Services.

DPS will provide a cybersecurity operations center, as well as cyber operations, security engineering and cyber analytics support services.
