Augusto Gautier

McClean Community Services

Augusto ‘Tito’ Gautier is vice president of finance and treasurer at McLean Community Services, a nonprofit in Simsbury.

He joined McLean in 2006 after many years in finance in numerous roles for Aetna, The Hartford, ING Mexico and finally, St. Joseph College where he was interim vice president for finance/treasurer for two years.

He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

He was a 2011 winner of the Hartford Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award in the nonprofit category.

McLean Community Services provides seniors with a range of services from permanent independent living, long term and post acute rehabilitative care, hospice and home care service, outpatient rehabilitation services, meals-on-wheels, and more.

Matthew O’Connor

Dean

Lender School of Business, Quinnipiac University

 

Matthew O’Connor is dean of the Lender School of Business at Quinnipiac University and director of Alternative Investments Institute there.  He has been honored with the university’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Service to Students Award.

O’Connor earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Connecticut in 1983. He then worked at Mass Mutual for six years, developing financial software and working on statistical analysis.

In 1991, he completed his MBA at the U niversity of Massachusetts. His next job was in the treasury department of Rogers Corp., a global manufacturing company based in Rogers, where he spent almost two years in cash management and bank relations.

He continued his education at Syracuse University, where he earned a doctorate in finance in 1998. He taught at the University of New Haven for two years before accepting a teaching position at Quinnipiac. He was named dean earlier this year.
