The American Automobile Association says Connecticut gas prices have taken a tumble since last month, including a 21-cent drop in the average cost of a gallon of regular.
Regular gas is down to $2.60 a gallon on average across the state. The AAA says there was a smaller decrease in diesel prices, which slid 6 cents to $2.84 a gallon from September to October.
Connecticut has the second-highest gas prices in the New England, New York and New Jersey region. New York topped the list at $2.68 for a gallon of regular.
The national average price of regular fell 10 cents to $2.48 this month.
AAA surveys more than 1,000 gas stations in Connecticut and nearly 100,000 stations nationwide to determine the average prices. (AP)
