A letter to our readers

We have a new normal within the business community, apparently for at least the next several weeks.

Business doesn’t take time off, and neither do we. The Hartford Business Journal’s commitment to providing news and information to our business community is unwavering.

As news of the impact of the coronavirus evolves, HBJ will cover the changes. To make sure that information is available to all readers, we are dropping the paywall for all related stories.

We’ve also created a landing page for all our daily coverage. Please keep us posted on what’s happening at your business.

We are fortunate to be able to operate remotely — our staff is communicating, sharing files and meeting with virtual online tools. We pledge to keep the lines of communication open with our readers and our clients, and will continue to reach out to research and report on the events happening in our region

Since the state’s guidelines are asking us to postpone large events, we have already postponed the following events:

  • 90 Ideas in 90 Minutes, scheduled for March 26, has been postponed to later in the summer or the fall. We’ll keep you posted.
  • Women in Business, scheduled for May 4, has been rescheduled for June 3, at the Marriott.

As things evolve, we will keep you posted on rescheduled events.

For your events, which are listed on the HBJ calendar, we are happy to edit or delete items. Let us know at czuraw@hartfordbusiness.com.
HBJ Publisher Joe Zwiebel and our sales team leader, Tom Curtin, chief revenue officer, are also available to answer any questions.

We look forward to continuing to deliver you the news and useful intelligence you have come to expect from us, as we all work to adapt, innovate and prevail through this challenging time.
