Eight local nonprofits were recently accepted into the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving’s Social Enterprise Accelerator to improve their revenue-generating capacity.
The participants applied for the program and attended a series of learning labs and consultations over the summer. Over the next 30 months, they will build and execute business plans, and launch or grow their ventures.
The program has helped 16 nonprofits develop and implement business plans since 2019. Together, those organizations have raised more than $8 million in revenue.
The program is run with guidance of No Margin, No Mission, a national consulting firm.
The following organizations have been selected to participate in the 2023 Social Enterprise Accelerator program:
- AHM Youth Services
- Camp Courant
- Conference of Churches
- Harriet Beecher Stowe Center
- HartBeat Ensemble
- Leadership Greater Hartford
- Urban League of Greater Hartford
- URISE Ventures
The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is a community foundation serving Hartford and 28 surrounding towns.
