The former Hartford Marriott Rocky Hill Hotel now flies the Sheraton Hotels flag and will undergo over the coming year a $6 million facelift.
Merced Partners owns the 251-room Sheraton Hartford South Hotel at 100 Capital Blvd. Wischermann Partners is the manager.
The makeover will include upgrades to the lounge, full-service dining and bar areas, and the fitness center. Rooms will be outfitted with liquid crystal display flat-screen TVs, oversized work desks, high-speed Internet and ergonomic chairs.
Other Hartford regional Sheratons include: the Sheraton Hotel Hartford at Bradley Airport; Four Points by Sheraton Meriden; and the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel.
Stamford’s Starwood Hotels &Resorts Worldwide Inc. owns the Sheraton brand.
