A developer has won approval for plans to build a multifamily, assisted housing development with affordable units in South Windsor.
Farmington-based Metro Realty Management Corp. will build a 55-unit apartment complex on a 5.18-acre site at 240 Deming St., and 440 Buckland Road, on property owned by Calvary Church of the Assemblies and Berry Patch II Associates L.P.
This is a pared-down version of an earlier plan submitted this summer that included 72 units over seven buildings.
The approved development will have 31 two-bedroom units and 24 one-bedroom units over five buildings, with a range of eight to 12 apartments per building.Â
Up to 25% of the units will be reserved for individuals with intellectual disabilities, with supportive services provided by MARC Inc. of Manchester, according to the application.
The complex will have 85 sparking spaces, including four electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle storage space and a children’s playground.Â
