52-unit Ashford apartment building sells for more than double its 2017 price

A 52-unit Ashford apartment building recently sold for $6.15 million, more than double the amount it fetched in a 2017 sale.

Ashford Hills LLC sold the 48,960-square-foot apartment building on 11.6 acres at 95 Varga Road to Lakewood, New Jersey-based Ashford Hills at 95 LLC. The sale was logged by the town on Aug. 9. The three-story, brick veneer building was completed in 1969.

The seller – whose principal is Khadija Khan, of Chicopee, Massachusetts – paid $3 million for the property in 2017, according to town assessing records. The town assessor’s office appraises the property at $3.46 million.

The buying LLC was formed in May. Its principal is Ashford Hills Associates LLC, which was also formed in May, with the principal of Leonard Anemer, of Lakewood, New Jersey. 

The listing broker was Taylor Perun, of Northeast Private Client Group.
