$475K sale-leaseback for Bloomfield industrial facility

A Bloomfield maker of medical supplies has sold its industrial headquarters for $475,000 as part of a sale-leaseback deal, brokers say.

Hermell Products Inc. recently sold its 22,710-square-foot building at 9 Britton Dr. to an LLC owned by principal Normand J. Laliberte Jr., of Watertown. Broker Sentry Commercial said it represented Hermell in the deal, and Laliberte was represented by Godwin Property Brokers.

Sentry Commercial says Hermell, which produces finger bandages, slings, braces, bedding and pillows, and cushions for pelvic tilt, among many other products, also recently signed a long-term lease for 14,710 square feet of the facility.

Laliberte has the remaining 8,000 square feet available for lease, officials say.

Land records show the Class B industrial building was built in 1967 at the 3.4-acre property.

According to Hermell’s website, the company is privately owned and operated by Ron Pollack, son of founder Dr. Herman Pollack.
