Crown Point Apartments, a 466-unit apartment complex in Danbury, has sold for $151.8 million.
The deal represents one of the highest-priced commercial real estate transactions in Connecticut this year.
The buyer of the complex, at 50 Saw Mill Road, is CP6 Crown Point LLC, controlled by Sam Eisenman, of Irvine, California, according to land records. He is the vice president of Trinity Property Consultants, which is a property management affiliate of realty investor FPA Multifamily.
An email to CP6 Crown Point LLC was not immediately returned.
Land records list the seller as Crown Pointe SPE LLC, controlled by Asher Handler, of Lakewood, New Jersey. Handler is the owner of AJH Management, which manages properties for National Property REIT Corp.
National Property REIT Corp. announced the sale on Thursday.
The Crown Point Apartments include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units that were built in two phases in 2007 and 2011. The property last traded hands in 2018 for $108.5 million, property records show.
CBRE brokers Jeffrey Dunne, Eric Apfel, Stuart Mackenzie and Travis Langer represented National Property REIT in the deal.
