Employee Bonuses: All employees with at least six months of service are eligible for an annual cost-of-living adjustment equal or greater to 2 percent, or the previous year's increase in the Consumer Price Index.
Fun & Relaxation: Every summer CIL funds a company outing to Block Island in Rhode Island. Also, every third Thursday of the month, CIL hosts a fun team event like happy hours, potlucks or apple-picking.
Healthy Living: In addition to the company's on-site gym (with a ping-pong table), CIL runs a variety of wellness challenges throughout the year. Recently, participants had up to $250 for fitness classes of their choice. The winning team picks a charity to benefit from the challenge.
Community Service: Conducts “Ramp Camps” during which CIL employees construct wheelchair ramps at the homes of people with disabilities who need, but can not afford one.
Diversity: Practices affirmative action in hiring and housing activities and recruits board members of varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds to serve as mentors and models for its workforce.
