A 38-unit New London apartment complex recently sold for $4.6 million.
In a deed recorded Dec. 30, Garfield Avenue LLC sold the two-building, 1972-vintage complex on nearly 1 acre at 145 Garfield Ave., to Brooklyn-based Soundview Apartments 143 LLC, which is headed by Matthew Katz.
Garfield Avenue LLC, which lists a New London business address, paid $1.25 million for the property in 2001. Its principals are Susan Tohbe and Charles M. Peterson.
The complex includes an 11,400-square-foot, 18-unit building and a 12,088-square-foot, 20-unit building. Each is three stories and sided with brick and masonry.
