A Danbury investor recently paid $3.1 million for a 32-unit apartment building and neighboring retail plaza near the Wolcott Street shopping district in Waterbury.
Juan C. Contreras-Montero paid $2.37 million to Steven M. Bushka and Tefta Buska for a 26,416-square-foot, brick and masonry block apartment building on a half-acre at 41 Framingham Ave., near Walmart. The sale was recorded by the city July 1.
In a separate deal recorded the same day, Contreras-Montero paid $730,000 to RR&T LLC for an abutting retail strip on one-third of an acre. The property at 400 Stillson Drive hosts a 2,302-square foot restaurant, 7,764-square foot retail building and 11,092-square foot parking structure, all dating to the late 1970s.
RR&T LLC’s principals are also members of the Bushka family, which is well known in Waterbury for development and retail ventures.  RR&T’s principals include Richard F. Bushka, of Waterbury; Ronald L. Bushka, of Watertown; and Terry T. Bushka, of Middlebury.
Attempts to reach Contreras-Montero were not successful.Â
