Hartford’s three best-known museums are getting $700,000 in federal grants to promote cultural awareness in the region, authorities say.
Congressman John B. Larson, (D-1st District) announced the grants late Tuesday from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Harriet Beecher Stowe Center will get $235,000; Mark Twain House, $179,680; and Wadsworth Atheneum, $325,000
