ESPN parent The Walt Disney Co. is opening a second Disney retail store in Connecticut this summer in Danbury, one that feature its new, interactive marketing concept.
Danbury Fair Mall is one of 12 locales in the U.S. and worldwide in which Disney said Tuesday it will open the newly designed stores aimed at making the shopping experience more pleasurable for kids.
Other North American stores will open this year in Orlando, Fla.; Park Meadows, Colo.; Salt Lake City; and Ontario, Canada.
Disney says it also will open its first China store, in Shanghai, later this year.
Disney’s only Connecticut store is in Westfarms mall.
