A Hartford development and engineering firm is proposing construction of six rowhouse buildings with 27 for-sale units in the city’s North End.
The Freeman Cos. is seeking approval from Hartford’s Planning & Zoning Commission to divide a 2.3-acre site at 91 Naugatuck St., near Brackett Knoll Park, into 27 parcels. The narrowest would be 18 feet wide, allowing the units to be sold individually to homeowners.
The site is vacant except for a rough driveway, remnants of athletic courts and several large trees.
According to Freeman Co.’s application, the new development would access Naugatuck Street via a single driveway. The developer would plant 20 trees along Clark and Naugatuck streets, with additional side and rear buffer plantings.
