A 24-unit New Britain apartment building recently sold for $2.8 million, 60% over the amount it fetched when it last sold in early 2024.
A limited liability company tied to Shelton-based real estate investment and services group Alpha Capital Funds sold the century-old, 19,584-square-foot brick building on a half-acre at 18 Lincoln St. to a limited liability company headed by Luis Melendez, of New Britain.
Melendez is also principal of New Britain-based Equidential Real Estate Group.
The property last sold for $1.75 million, in a deed recorded in January 2024. This latest sale was done under a 1031 tax deferred exchange.
Zachary Pinto, of Alpha Capital Realty, brokered the property for the seller.
