The Olmsted Farmington, a 204-unit luxury apartment community on the edge of Farmington’s Batterson Park, is now leasing, adding a sizable block of upscale rental housing to a Greater Hartford market that has seen steady demand for amenity-rich apartments.
The development is the work of Skala Partners and its affiliated builder, Skala Construction, led by principals Aristides Koutouvides and Niko Koutouvides. Monthly rents start at $2,265, with floor plans ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. A flat $95 monthly amenity fee bundles in high-speed internet along with gas for cooking, and water, trash and sewer services, according to the developer.
The pet-friendly community sits adjacent to Batterson Park, a 260-acre recreational property with trails, kayaking and canoeing, fishing, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, a waterfront boardwalk lounge and a bird-watching tower. The developers have leaned into that connection in naming the community for Frederick Law Olmsted, the Hartford native widely regarded as the father of American landscape architecture.
Outdoor offerings include a heated saltwater pool with cabanas, al fresco kitchen, putting green and community garden plots spread across more than a half-acre. Indoors, residents will have access to two fitness facilities, a Great Hall clubhouse, social hall, private dining room and butler’s kitchen. The facility also features a large canine promenade and dog washing area.
