2022 Travelers Championship raises more than $2.5M for charity

The Travelers Championship generated more than $2.5 million to benefit more than 130 charitable organizations this year, The Travelers Cos. Inc. announced Monday.

The tournament took place Thursday through Sunday at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell. Olympic gold medallist Xander Schauffele won the title.

The tournament donates 100% of its net proceeds to nonprofits. This year’s primary beneficiary was The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, which provides a traditional summer camp experience for children with serious illnesses.

“We’re so fortunate to be able to watch the best players in the world compete in Connecticut, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the way this community has embraced the Travelers Championship,” said Andy Bessette, executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Travelers. “It will be great to see everyone back again next year.”
