2 CT teachers to learn new business skills

Two Connecticut teachers have summer jobs learning about energy and green technology to help their students compete for jobs.

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association says Shane Clark, a math teacher at New Britain High School, will work in Plainville with General Electric Co. engineers designing electric vehicle charging stations.

Elizabeth Clinton, a math teacher at Wilby High School in Waterbury, will learn about the utility industry while working at Northeast Utilities in Berlin.

The program is funded by the National Science Foundation and is administered by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association.
