Dredging of Westbrook Harbor will continue with $500,000 in federal funds and a matching state grant, authorities say.
Congressman Joe Courtney and state and local officials were scheduled to announce at the site Wednesday that the Army Corps of Engineers will perform the work on the Patchogue River, a harbor tributary.
With the $1 million in funding, dredging will be completed after years of work, authorities say.
